Departing the Federal Space, CBD and The Rest of the Story...

Now that I've departed the Federal contracting world, I can share the rest of my story.

As you may already know, I recently made a major career move departing the Federal contracting space. While there were other health reasons which contributed to my departure from my previous employer, including photophobia triggered by fluorescent lights in most Federal office spaces, this move was in part directly related to the injury I suffered from the COVID-19 vaccine, and the treatment I found worked for me to repair the damage.

I took the vaccine after receiving the news that the Federal government was going to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine for employees and contractors. I don't remember much of the next two weeks, other than pain. The doctors were able to confirm that my neurological issues were indeed caused by the vaccine, but probably because acknowledging the severity of adverse events caused by the vaccine such as mine, they could not recommend any treatment.

Fortunately, a good friend of mine has experience with neurological issues and recommended several natural supplements. I found that these supplements did help clear my head some, but the pain remained. I was taking extreme amounts of Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen just to manage the pain, and had to find an alternative.

Enter CBD, or cannabidiol. This chemical is found naturally in marijuana and hemp, and is known for its ability to help neuropathic pain and nausea for cancer patients. So, I decided to give it a try, and it helped tremendously.

Now for those of you unaware, Federal employees and contractors have been advised against taking any CBD product. While hemp-based CBD without THC is legally allowed, there are few guarantees that over-the-counter CBD won't trigger a drug test for THC. As such, Federal agencies have warned employees and contractors not to take CBD.

It is unfortunate, that the Federal government would maintain such a stance against CBD even though there are multiple studies regarding the effectiveness of it treating neurological issues.

Had I been chosen for a random drug test while taking CBD, there was a chance I could have immediately lost my job.

So why am I telling you this? Nobody should ever be forced to choose between their health and their job. I'd like to encourage everyone to visit NORML and see how you can help in reforming marijuana laws. While it's too late for me, and I've now departed Federal contracting, it's not too late for others. Cancer patients, people with neurological issues, and many others can greatly benefit from CBD, but are prohibited from doing so due to their employment.

At the same time big pharma is "promising to save us" from diseases with new vaccine methods, they're simultaneously lobbying against the legalization of marijuana because they know it will hurt their bottom line. If big pharma is against legalization of a plant, then we really should be calling into question their hope for increased demand of COVID-19 vaccines. If big pharma really wants to help us, they should be working towards permanent solutions for COVID-19, and not hoping for increased vaccine sales. In my opinion this is further proof that big pharma is more interested in creating recurring customers, instead of cures.

I'd like to encourage you to seek out natural alternatives to some drugs. You might be surprised by not only the cost savings, but also the lack of side effects.
